Natalie Cox is fighting a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Angiosarcoma and she needs help paying for her treatment. Natalie has long been a part of the Kill Rock Stars family - she was in The Old Haunts and plays drums on their debut record, Fallow Field, and she worked at Kill Rock Stars for a spell. You might also recognize Natalie from the movie Don't Need You: The Herstory of Riot Grrrl. Please consider donating what you can, thank you!

Bring Back the Horse
Billy Childish on his favorite book, Devils by Fyodor Dostoevsky:
I recommend this book to anyone who is sickened and bored by our adolescent-driven society. Read all of Dostoevsky: Crime & Punishment, The Idiot, The Brothers Karamazov. These books are for now and they matter, because it’s up to us to call a halt to our TV producers, politicians, gutless artists, poets and writers: these “teenagers of all ages” who are propelling us towards a consumerist hell of disposability over quality.
Cool is not cool, it is shit. Bring back the horse.
Let's Build A Car
Let's Build A Car
No more pushing, let's go and build a car,
We're ready for the fly-past, another slow film.
Waiting for a minor change, at last the scenery,
Always saving up to listen to some fiction,
Try to buy a castle but there's no windows left,
I don't mind a breakout but there's never enough time.
Whatever you are saving for,
At least know what you're waiting for.
Don't try pushing, we'd rather buy a car,
Just waiting for the pictures in some line.
It's an easy catch in a courtyard when you're trying too hard,
Always waiting up in case the patterns break,
Try to catch that look that the others left,
I don't mind a breakout but there's never enough time.
Whatever you are saving for,
At least know what you're waiting for.
Don't try pushing, we'd rather buy a car,
And all the girls in Manchester couldn't steal a car.
Medi?val crosses out but it catches you in time,
Always waiting up in case there's another invasion,
Try to buy a castle but there's no windows left,
I don't mind a breakout but there's never enough time.
Whatever you are saving for,
At least know what you're waiting for.
